Depending on the COVID-19 environment, we expect to be delivering face to face (F2F) training with a maximum of 12 participants per course. A limited number of places will be offered to regional HSR’s and HSR’s who are unable to attend due to medical circumstances. Each course has a code which you need to include on your enrolment form. If you have any concerns or queries regarding the schedule, please contact the Training Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.We look forward to delivering the courses and once we have received your Enrolment Form, we will provide you with information on what SA Unions will be doing to keep you safe at our premises.
The WHS Act 2012 at Section 72 Obligation to train health and safety representatives (9) identifies that elected HSRs are entitled to 10 days training over the 3 year term of office. This is broken down as:
- 5 days in the first year
- 3 days in the second
- 2 days in the third
Re-elected HSRs can enroll in Continuing courses to further build their knowledge and understandings of health and safety in the workplace.
