Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA)
Level 2
Health and Safety Representative Training (3 days)

SA Unions is an approved provider of Health and Safety Representative training under the WHS Act.

HSRs are entitled to attend an HSR training course, provided the course is approved by SafeWork SA (section 72 of the Act). Under the WHS Regulations, HSRs can attend a five-day training course in the first year, a three-day course in the second year and a two-day course in the third year. (Regulation 21 of the WHS Regulations).

Course Description

YEAR 2 REFRESHER - HEALTH AND SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE TRAINING

(3 days)

 

Target Group

Elected Health and Safety Representatives

 
Prerequisites
Attendance at a Level 1 Health and Safety Representative course or the 1 day Bridging course.

Course Fee

Standard Fee $535 (inc GST)

Union Members $485 (inc GST) 
Union discount only applies to unions affiliated with SA Unions

 

The Course Fee includes

  • Participant manual

  • Light lunch provided daily (unless regional course)

 

Course Subsidies

Subsidies for Health and Safety Representatives of $50 per participant per day on course fees are available through a SafeWork SA grant.

SafeWork SA can advise of the eligibility of your business for a subsidy.

Eligibility categories -

  • small business - up to 100 or fewer employees

  • SAfer Industries

  • High Risk Occupations

  • Regional Industries

Cancellation

Cancellation Policy
When an enrolment is cancelled the following cancellation fees will apply.  This can be waived if another course date is booked.

More than 14 days before course commencement date = Full refund
Between 7-14 days before commencement date = 50% refund
Less than 7 days = No refund
